I was born and raised in Hamburg, Iowa. I am married with three children and one dog. I attended Iowa Western Community College where I received my AA in Pre-Education. I then went on to Peru State College and graduated with my BA in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle School Education. I taught one year at Sheridan Elementary in Auburn, Nebraska.  I went on to teach middle school Special Education at East Mills Middle/High School on a provisional license. I attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated with my master's degree in Special Education. I taught ten years at East Mills and then moved to Lewis Central High School where I taught high school life skills for two years. I am now the Residential Coordinator at NCECBVI. I will be teaching independent life skills in a classroom setting and dorm setting.
