Sick Leave
Classified employees are eligible to receive paid sick leave days, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein.
A full-time classified employee shall receive one day of sick leave per month during such employee's first year of employment. A part-time classified employee with a full-time equivalency (FTE) of more than .50, shall receive sick leave days equal to the product of (a) the number of sick leave days the part-time employee would be entitled to receive if he or she were full-time, multiplied by (b) the part-time classified employee's FTE.
Classified employees with an FTE of .50 or less shall not receive sick leave days.
Sick leave days may only be used for the following reasons: (a) when the employee is too ill to work; (b) when a member of the employee's immediate family is too ill to be left alone and the employee is needed to care for the family member; and (c) bereavement when approved by the Administrator. The Administrator or the employee's immediate supervisor may require the employee to provide written proof, satisfactory to the Administrator or immediate supervisor, of the employee's need to use sick leave. In no event shall any employee be compensated for any unused sick leave.

In no event shall a classified employee with an FTE of .50 or more accrue more than two personal days. In no event shall a classified employee with an FTE of less than .50 accrue more than one personal day. Classified employees will be paid their hourly rate (8 hours per day) for unused personal leave upon termination of employment.
